bearings (shades of greige)

Over the past year, as financial pressures mounted and many millennials, including myself, struggled to pay rent and afford daily essentials, I turned to making and selling stuffed animals as a means to make ends meet. Through Bearings, I aim to convey the experience of "barely hanging on," a common sentiment among millennials facing economic hardship. A bear barely fitting into a small hollow space, the work reflects the precarious balancing act of trying to maintain one's bearings within an inflexible and often unforgiving economic system.
